Recent Activities
1. The 'Voice of Kushtia' Bangabandhu Gold Medal Music Competition was successfully conducted by BRB Cable Industries Ltd. jointly organized by District Administration and District Arts Academy, Kushtia. Top 10 contestants are selected through various stages and top three contestants are selected in the final stage.
2. 19 to 24 July, 2022 AD. Training workshops on advanced music were organized at District Shilpakala Academy, Kushtia.
3. July 24, 2022 In the evening, a grand musical evening was organized in the auditorium of the District Art Academy. Pandit Shyam Sundar Goswami, a prominent classical music artist of the Indian subcontinent, performed classical music. Apart from this, tabla lahra was performed by Pandit Subhranshu Chakraborty, a prominent percussionist of the Indian subcontinent.
4. 25 to 27 July, 2022 AD. A training workshop on percussion instruments (tabla) was organized at District Shilpakala Academy, Kushtia. The instructor was Pandit Subhranshu Chakraborty, a prominent percussionist of the Indian subcontinent.
5. July 27, 2022 In the evening, Pandit Subhranshu Chakraborty, a prominent percussionist of the Indian subcontinent, performed Tabla Lahra at the District Arts Academy Auditorium. Tabla Lahra leaves the audience mesmerized.
6. 29 July to 04 August, 2022 AD. Up to District Shilpakala Academy, Kushtia organized by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy training department under the management of District Shilpakala Academy, Kushtia High level dance workshop (Bharatanatyam) was completed.
7. July 30, 2022 Monthly lesson cycles are organized.
8. On the occasion of the 81st death anniversary of the universal poet Rabindranath Tagore, a cultural program was organized on 22 Shravan, 1429 Bangabd (6 August, 2022 AD) at 6:00 pm at the Zila Shilpakala Academy Auditorium.
9. A new addition to Shilpakala Academy Saturday evening after the newly constructed building started its activities. Cultural evenings are organized on the open stage of the academy every Saturday of the week. On Saturday evening, any one of the cultural organizations of the district participates to entertain the audience with their performances and boost cultural practices.
10. On the occasion of the 47th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day-2022 of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great architect of the greatest freedom of a thousand years, colorful programs were organized for three days. A painting competition was organized on the afternoon of August 14. On the evening of the same day, the film “August 1975” written on the death of Bangabandhu was screened. On the evening of August 15, a recital and music program and prize distribution program titled “Bangabandhu in Lamentations” was organized in the auditorium of the academy. On the evening of August 16, another play written on the death of Bangabandhu, “Amar Sadh Na Mitilo” was performed in the Academy Auditorium.
11. August 20, 2022 On Saturday evening, one of the most significant cultural organizations in the district, the Hindol Artist Group, enthralled the audience by performing a cultural program.
12. August 27, 2022 AD. On the occasion of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam's 46th death anniversary-2022, a discussion meeting and cultural program was jointly organized by District Art Academy and Nazrul Academy, District Branch, Kushtia on the evening of the date in the open stage of the academy.
13. August 30, 2022 At 7:00 in the evening, a commemoration and cultural program was organized on the occasion of the 5th death anniversary of late singer Abdul Jabbar, the hero of Kushtia, Ekushey Padak and Independence Award-winning singer and national artist, late singer Abdul Jabbar. All year training programs of all departments of the training center are ongoing.
14. On September 10, 2022 District Cultural Officer, Rajshahi Mr. Md. Asaduzzaman Nimirta Jeevan Pakhi film exhibition was organized.
15. On 12/09/2020, an online program was organized on the occasion of the 42nd death anniversary of poet Azizur Rahman, the poet of Kushtia district.
16. Bodhan Theater Kushtia staged a play on Saturday evening, September 24, 2022.
17. September 28, 2022 On the occasion of the 76th birthday of Hon'ble Prime Minister Bangabandhu's daughter Jannetri Sheikh Hasina, a discussion meeting and cultural program was organized at 6:30 pm at the meeting hall of the District Art Academy.
18. September 28, 2022 At 7:30 p.m., the meeting of the Zilla Shilpakala Academy was abuzz with the World Bengal Literary and Cultural Conference, with performances by artists from India.
19. October 5, 2022 AD. In the evening, Bodhan Theater Kushtia staged a play in the auditorium of the District Art Academy.
20. October 17, 2022 The 132nd Tirodhan Day of the legendary Baul Sarat Lalan Saiji, one of the pioneers of Bengali folk culture, is celebrated.
21. October 18, 2022 The birthday of Sheikh Russell, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and "Sheikh Russell Day 2022" is celebrated.
22. October 22, 2022. Milon Academy, Kushtia brings together the open stage music and dance of Shilpakala Academy on Saturday's weekly cultural evening.
23. October 29, 2022 Film screenings are organized weekly on Saturdays.
24. A 2-day vocal and musical training workshop was organized from 6th to 7th November, 2022 AD. Instructor was Srijit Bhattacharya, Music Director and Music Instructor, Kolkata, India.
25. November 12, 2022 Sundaram Lalitkala Academy, Kushtia presents a cultural program on the open stage of the academy on the Saturday weekly cultural evening of the Kushtia District Shilpakala Academy.
26. November 13, 2022 AD. A cultural program was organized on the occasion of the 175th birth anniversary of poet Mir Musharraf Hossain.
27. November 26, 2022 Kushtia District Art Academy's weekly cultural evening on Saturdays by Hindol Art Group, Kushtia, performing cultural programs on the open stage of the academy.
28. 03 December, 2022 AD. On the date, cultural programs were organized with the participation of artists with special needs.
29. From 10/12/2022 to 15/12/2022 every day at 6:00 PM Film Exhibition based on Liberation War is organized.
30. December 11 Kushtia Freedom Day. December 11, 2022 AD. A cultural program was organized on the occasion of Kushtia Independence Day by District Art Academy, Kushtia.
31. 14/12/2022 at 5:30 PM in Shilpakala Academy premises, candles were lit in memory of martyred intellectuals.
32. December 16, 2022 AD. On the occasion of Great Victory Day, a cultural program was organized at 4:00 PM in the auditorium of the Zilla Shilpakala Academy.
33. December 17, 2022 AD. At 3:00 pm painting and music competition was organized.
34. Art exhibition is organized from 17/12/2022 to 24/12/20224 daily from 3 PM to 8 PM.
35.24 December, 2022 AD. On the evening of the date, a cultural program was organized with the trainers and trainees.
36. Bangladesh cultural festival is organized from 30/12/2022 to 31/12/2022 at 4 pm every day.
37. 04 February, 2023 AD. On the date, the auspicious opening of the training year 2023 and the reception of new trainees was organized.
38. 10 February, 2023 AD. A solo music evening was organized at the Academy Auditorium on the date. Naimul Karim Melal, a prominent music artist living in America, performed the music.
39. 11 February, 2023 AD. The stage play “Long March” was performed on the date. Play performed by Alternative Living Theatre, India.
40. 14/02/2023 AD. Vasant Varan Utsav-1429 was celebrated at the District Art Academy on the date.
41. 17 to 20 February, 2023 AD. Organized training workshops on music. Training provided by Mr. Srijit Bhattacharya, Music Director and Music Instructor, Kolkata, India.
42. 17 February to 03 March, 2023 AD. The third Bangladesh Film Festival-2023 was organized at Shilpakala Academy Auditorium.
43. On the occasion of the 49th Foundation Anniversary-2023 celebration of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on February 19, cake cutting and cultural programs were organized at the academy auditorium.
44. The Great Language Martyr and International Mother Language Day 2022 is celebrated on 21 February/2023 AD.
45. 2nd March 2023 Hawaiin Guitar evening organized at open stage of District Shilpakala Academy Kushtia.
46. On 4th March 2023 at 7 pm in the auditorium of Zilla Shilpakala Academy Kushtia, the play 'Biranganar Bayan' was staged by Shabad Natyacharcha Kendra Dhaka.
47. On 6th March 2023 at 7 pm, a cultural program was organized on the theme of Art against Degradation of Values in the auditorium of District Shilpakala Academy Kushtia. Students and teachers of Kushtia Training Department of District Arts Academy performed music on the occasion.
48. On the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's historic 7th March speech day-2023, a music, dance and recitation competition was held on 6th March organized by District Administration Kushtia and managed by District Art Academy Kushtia.
49. On the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's historic 7th March Speech Day-2023, a discussion and cultural program was organized on 7th March 2023 at 9 am at Bangabandhu Cultural Stage, Collectorate Square, Kushtia.
50. District Shilpakala Academy Kushtia 'General Meeting 2023' was held on 11th March 2023 at 3 PM in Zila Shilpakala Academy Kushtia Auditorium.
51. On the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's 103rd birth anniversary and National Children's Day-2023, discussions and cultural programs were organized on 17th March.
52. Training Workshop on High Music and Percussion Instruments was organized from 16th to 20th March, 2023 at District Shilpakala Academy, Kushtia. Pandit Shyam Sundar Goswami and percussionist Pandit Subhranshu Chakraborty gave training in the workshop.
53. Yantra Sangeet Utsav 2023 was held on March 21, 2023 at 7 pm at District Arts Academy Kushtia Auditorium.
54. Documentary Shdhok Lalan Shaiji receiving Merit Award 2022 from Canada Shots International Film Festival and Nominee Award 2022 from Cannes World Film Festival for Documentary `The Divine Soul' on 21st March, 2023 evening by Zila Shilpakala Academy Kushtia at Academy Auditorium Young filmmaker Ashiq Rajiv was felicitated.
55. On the occasion of National Puppetry Festival 2023, Puppetry Exhibition was organized on 22nd March 2023 at 11 am at District Shilpakala Academy Kushtia Mantipurpose Hall.
56. On the occasion of Great Independence and National Day-2023 on 26th March, wreaths were laid at the Central Shaheed Smriti Stambha at sunrise and a cultural program was organized at Shilpakala Academy Kushtia auditorium at 4 pm on the same day.
57. 27th March is World Theater Day. To commemorate this day in the year 2023, an exchange meeting was held at District Shilpakala Academy, Kushtia with people from all walks of life including theater workers of the district.
58. 14 April/2023 AD. Pahela Baisakh is celebrated on the occasion of Bengali New Year-1430.
59. The historic Mujib Nagar Day was celebrated on 17 April.
60. On the occasion of World Dance Day on April 29, a discussion meeting and dance performance were organized at the District Arts Academy.
61. 25th Baishakh/1430 Bangalabd was celebrated at Kuthibari, Shilaidah, Kushtia on a national level as the 162nd birth anniversary of the great poet Rabindranath Tagore.
62. 11th Jaishthya/1430 Bangabd (25th May/2023 AD) Discussion meeting and cultural programs were organized on the occasion of 124th birth anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman receiving the Julio Kuri Peace Medal, the artists of District Shilpakala Academy performed music and dance in a cultural program organized by District Administration, Kushtia at District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium.
64. May 13, 2023 AD. Special cultural programs with Indian artists are organized on Saturday evenings as part of the regular program of District Art Academy, Kushtia.
65. May 14, 2023 AD. Indian Doordarshan and Radio artistes performed magic show, choreography, music, dance, poetry recitation and Sruti drama in the cultural evening at the District Arts Academy Auditorium.
66. 15th May, 2023 BNM Kolkata's dance drama “Silence” performed at Zilla Shilpakala Academy Auditorium, Kushtia.
67. Organized by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and managed by District Shilpakala Academy, Kushtia 13-15 May, 2023 AD. Up to 3 (three) days cultural programs are organized for grassroots people on art culture.
68. All year training programs in vocal music, dance, percussion, drama and fine arts departments of the training center are ongoing.
